Day 3: Yellow Nails

Hey everyone! It's so late! I need to go to sleep but I forgot to post this earlier so I must do it now. We'll just pretend it's still Sunday in the UK... Anyway, these nails are super duper boring but they're something I've been wanting to try for a while. I dont actually know what it's called, Candice over at MrCandiipants called it rimming and I find that hilarious so we'll stick with that. ;) Unfortunately yellow doesn't give much as a colour scheme so this mani is super dull, also I was totally lacking in yellowspiration. THIS IS SUCH A NEGATIVE POST. I'm going to go to bed, enjoy the nails, goodnight (it's 1am)

Day 2: Orange (ginger) nails

Hello! As promised I am posting today. I'm meant to be at my friend's house right now but I stayed to post this for you lovely people APPRECIATE IT PLEASE. I can't write much because I'm obviously in a hurry because I'm a bad friend but look: ginger cats :D I based these off MrCandiipants' cats design and aw man I love them. Seems like such a waste to take them off tomorrow, BOO! Anyway I must must must go, goodbye and enjoy!

Day 1: Red Nails

Hi everyone! I must admit I was actually going to start the challenge last week, but decided to coincide it with my boyfriend's 18th, which is fancy dress. I'm going as Where's Wally (or Waldo to my American followers), and my reputation as 'the nail girl' needs to be upheld with matching nails. Therefore, todays red nails are... Where's Wally! My left hand actually looks less like Wally than the right because today I tried out a little experiment. I've read about painting the design onto clingfilm or a plastic sheet first and then transferring it onto your non-dominant hand, and that's exactly what I did. It's not perfect because it didn't transfer flat but nonetheless it looks a lot better than if I'd painted it with my left hand.

 I think I need to improve on making my acrylic opaque but apart from that I'm pretty pleased with how the writing turned out.

I painted both Wallys entirely in acrylic paint and used:

No 7 - Red (I've lost the label and it's a colour no longer sold anyway)

Barry M - Matt White

I forgot to mention yesterday that I wont be able to do the challenge everyday. I'll try my best but I know for a fact that day 2 wont be up until Saturday because I'm super busy until then.

I really havn't figured out my photo face yet, every single photo (yes, there are pictures worse than this) is just me looking a mess. This is also the first time I've ever posted pictures of myself on my blog... now you can see why. Also the hat didn't fit my big head, boo!

I've already done the first day but I need to take pictures etc. Also, I'm not entirely sure how the last day is going to work as I have no one completing the challenge with me, guess I'll just have to recreate something of my own. Actually, that's probably the whole idea, oh well!

Jelly beans!

Hi everyone! Here's a (small) break from repeated posting of metallic nails in the form of a jelly bean nail set. A close family friend asked me to do 'jelly bean nails' and was no more descriptive, so I was left to come up with a design on my own. I was just going to do big jelly beans on all the nails and the 'Jelly Belly' logo on the thumbs but I changed my mind last minute and came up with this. I really like how they turned out because they're so colourful. I'm a bit disappointed with the Jelly Belly logos because the yellow acrylic went incredibly transparent when I put a top coat on, but I can learn for next time! Also, these are now available on my Etsy :)

 There are WAY too many colours to list but if you want to know just ask :)
Sorry for the picture heavy post, I'm a bit obsessed with these nails!
