Paint All The Nails Presents Pantone Colour Of The Year 2016

Hey everyone! This is a very late post from me tonight (although when I was a student I would probably have considered this early) as I've been out for drinks and food for my friends birthday and I've only just had a chance to edit and post these. Today is this months 'Paint All The Nails' challenge and we voted to do a Pantone themed design based on this years colours. Each year Pantone normally chose the year's colour, but for some reason this year they chose two, but they are very lovely colours! My manicure did end up looking more blue than blue and pink but I still really liked it. Check the inlinks at the bottom of the page for everyone's designs.

I used the Barry M - Supermani 7 in 1 Base Coat*, then I used the saran wrap method with Barry M - Rose Hip as my base and Barry M - Elderberry over the top. Then I used Kiele - Liquid Pallisade French* to mark out my triangles and I filled in the centre with Essie - Beyond Cozy, touched up with a nail art brush. Then I finished off with a coat of Seche Vite

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Perfect colors and it looks perfectly like marbled stone! The addition of the glittery triangles is just the cherry on top. Love it.

  3. Those Barry M's are so pretty! I hope they had better formula than the China Glaze I used? I love your design and I don't mind that they look more blue!

  4. Wow, those colours are perfect matches! The finish is so dreamy and soothing, I like that it's a bit more heavy on the blue. The pops of glitter are such a nice touch too!

  8. Haha I totally feel Deborah. Yes a saran wrap mani is so simple yet I love how bold this looks even with a pastel combo. Those shades look so gorgeous together and the gold detail finishes the whole look. I absolutely adore them Alice!!!

  11. Yay! Saran wrap is one of my favourite techniques (mainly because it's one thing impossible for me to stuff up lol) This turned out so cute. They're like pretty little fluffy clouds. I love the addition of the sparkly angular design too. Beautiful!
