Lilac Barry M Gradient

Hey everyone! It's been hectic around here for a few days. I did my last shift at my old job on Saturday and I've spent the past few days sorting out my stuff for my new job. I also spent the day at Ikea yesterday (on the hottest day of the year and my last day of freedom before starting full time work!) buying stuff so that I can live at my boyfriends without living out of a rucksack constantly. So it's been a busy few days. But today I have some nails for you that I created quite a while ago for nail art society at university, which shows how old these are considering we've not done nail art society for over 4 months and they were done well before that. These are just a simple gradient using Barry M products, they're not the best gradient I've ever done, but they're not worth hiding away forever either.

Gelish Ooh La La Collection Polka Dot Nail Art

Hey everyone! Here are the full pictures of the nails I wore on my holiday, if you want to read about it you can see my post here. I don't often apply gel nails to myself as I change my polish so often it's difficult to test them out properly. But as I was going away for a week I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try out some of the new Gelish Ooh La La Collection*.

Nails on Holiday

Hey everyone! So last year when I went to Italy I did a post titled 'Nails on Tour' where I posted pictures of my nails in front of all the things I got up to on holiday. It's one of my favourite posts to look back on as I have some really great memories from that holiday, so I wanted to do the same this year when I went to Cyprus. Last year me and my friend did lots of touristy things and adventuring, but this year me and my boyfriend did a bit more relaxing than exploring. I did however still manage to take a few photos to show you.

I had such an amazing time with perfect weather, the post-holiday blues are definitely bad this year! If you're looking for a hotel to stay at I'd 100% recommend the Atlantica Oasis in Limassol. It took us so long to choose a hotel, but we definitely made the perfect choice. It's family-friendly so there are lots of children but as a couple we still had an amazing time. This was our first experience of all inclusive, so we did a lot of eating, and all the food was gorgeous. I pigged out on pancakes all week because they were unlimited and it was brilliant!

On my nails I'm wearing Gelish - Postcards From Paris*, with an accent nail of Gelish - Escar-go To France*, both of which are from the new Ooh La La collection. You might remember the glitter from my Monthly Favourites, and it certainly didn't disappoint on holiday! I'll do a full post on the nails separately. Read more after the jump.

Simple Summer Florals

Hey everyone! I'm back from the best holiday I've ever been on. We had perfect weather for the whole week, and it was so nice to be able to relax and not think about anything after months of dissertation work and exams. I managed to read for the first time in over a year, in fact I read 4 books in the week, I'm clearly not very good at lying on a sunbed doing nothing! I'm still pale as anything, despite my best efforts, and I'm very jealous of my boyfriend's tan. I'll be doing a 'my nails on holiday' blogpost in the next few days once I've got the photos off my boyfriend's phone. But today I have for you some simple floral nails I created a long time ago. These are probably from last November time, they were hiding away on my computer and I'd completely forgotten about them but I thought it was time to show you all.

Navy Daisies for Avon

Hey everyone! We all know I love my florals so I was bound to schedule some for when I was away. I know my daisy nails last year were very popular and I wanted to recreate something similar for Avon using a navy base instead. I made the daisies a bit bigger than my previous design and I really loved how they turned out.

Pink Glitter Gradient

Hey everyone! I'm still on holiday so this is another scheduled post but hopefully you're enjoying them! Today I have some nail art using Peach for the Stars from the recent Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing collection. It's been ages since I posted a glitter gradient and they're so simple to create that I thought it was about time. It's nice and summery so it fits with the fact I'm on holiday!

Tutorial Tuesday: Starfish Nail Art for Barry M

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted a 'tutorial tuesday' post so I thought it was about time. Hopefully whilst you're reading this I'm sunning myself by the pool, or eating lots of all inclusive food. I can't wait! I've never been on an all inclusive holiday before so hopefully I'm enjoying it. Today's tutorial is for these cute starfish nails, they're much simpler than I'd usually go for but I ended up really liking them. The steps will be after the jump.

Pineapples for Avon

Hey everyone! When you're reading this I'll hopefully be thousands of feet in the air on my way to Cyprus. Hopefully not scared out of my wits like I usually am but it's probably likely. Today's nail art is some cute pineapples I created for Avon. I wanted to mix them up and not do a full set of entire pineapples so I added an accent nail of smaller pineapples. I loved wearing these, they got a lot of attention but they were also super cute and fun, so hopefully you like them too!

Pastel Tribal Nail Art for Divine Caroline

Hey everyone! I seem to almost be sorted for my holiday now, I just need to pack (yes, I've left it until the last minute!), do my nails and schedule some blog posts. Fingers crossed I can get it all done tomorrow. Today's blogpost is one I've been really excited to show you because it took me forever to do. I always get so carried away with tribal/aztec nail art, I just can't make it simple. So once again I put a lot of detail into these aztec nails that I created for Divine Caroline. If you're interested in knowing how I created these I also did a tutorial here

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Nailbox - June: Review + Nail Art

Hey everyone! Today I have another Nailbox review for you. I showed you May's Nailbox here, and this is June's box. Each month subscribers are sent 5 nail products, usually 4 nail polishes and a nail tool. All products are from high end brands and you definitely get your money's worth. When I opened this month's box I was in shock because there was a full sized bottle of Seche Vite, and we all know how expensive it is! I really do believe that you get brilliant value for money with these boxes and if you like a surprise it's definitely worth signing up. You can do so here. If you want to just sign up for a one-off box it's £15, which is a great deal. And it's slightly cheaper if you sign up on a monthly pre-pay basis.  I decided to once again create some nail art with the polishes I received as I thought they worked really well together.

May Monthly Favourites

Hey everyone! I'm a little bit late with uploading these favourites but I just haven't had a chance to sit down and write the post. I'm going to try and post as much as I can in the next few days because I'm really falling behind with posts. I was expecting to have loads of free time once exams were over but I still seem to be busy non-stop with all the stuff I put off until after exams! I've had quite an exciting week, I'm was in London yesterday to do some filming with Snog Frozen Yogurt, which you'll hear more about soon. Then I'm going on holiday this weekend! I really can't wait. I also got featured in my local newspaper last week. If you're interesting in reading the piece you can see it here.

So this month's favourites (or last month's technically) are a combination of beauty and nails. It was really hard to pick just 5 things, but the items I chose were:

Saran Wrap for Avon

Hey everyone! I've finally had my last exam, it feels so nice to be free. I was looking forward to getting loads done once I finished on Wednesday but I wasn't feeling great and I moved out of my flat and it's ended up with one of the worst colds I've ever had because I exhausted myself. I called in sick to work for the first time in my life today. I normally feel too guilty and end up just going in, but I really couldn't face it. Hence, the silence for a few days. Anyway, today's nails are just some simple saran wrap nails I created for Avon. I'll detail how I did them below with some quick tutorial steps.
