Barry M Spring 2015 Gellies Swatches and Review

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting, I've been revising and working a lot recently and I just haven't had a chance to edit pictures, so I decided to set the time aside tonight and get posting. I also spent the day in London on Friday filming something very exciting for Leighton Denny, which you'll see soon hopefully. Are you all excited about the new Royal Baby?  I was really hoping to share a name with the new princess (I even placed a bet), but I was wrong, which only proved to me why I don't bet on things!

Anyway, today's post is a (well overdue) review of the Barry M Spring 2015 Gellies*. This spring they released three new shades, and a little birdie (aka the Barry M catalogue) tells me that there will be one more released this summer. The three released for this spring are not entirely dissimilar from last year, as they are again pastels, but what else can we expect from spring? And I'm definitely not one for complaining about new pastels!

Cotton* has been described by a few bloggers as 'off white', but I dont see it, it's just white to me. Nevertheless it's a very good white! I've been using this a lot in nail art recently (you'll have seen it in both my recent gingham nails) because it's incredibly opaque and easy to use. This was 2 thin coats, shown without topcoat. It also dried fast and shiny. Also, sorry about the out of focus picture below, I didn't realise that none of the pictures were okay until it was too late!

Next is Fondant*, which you will have also seen in recent nail art (such as these), it's a gorgeous addition to the collection. This was 2 easy coats without topcoat and it dried fast and shiny

Sky Blue* is a lovely turquoise, this has the most difficult application of the collection but it's completely manageable. In fact I'd say this applies like the Gellies normally do and the others just have really easy application. This was two coats without topcoat.

Overall, I really like the new polishes, I've used them a lot in nail art recently and I'm sure you'll be seeing even more of them throughout summer.
If you want to get your hands on these they are available in Boots or Superdrug for £3.99, or on the Barry M Website

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
