Celestial Cosmetics - The Valyrio Collection Review + Swatches

Hey everyone! Today I have a brand new (to my blog) brand to show you: Celestial Cosmetics! I was recently asked if I wanted to review for Celestial and I jumped at the chance, my new years resolution this year was to try more indies, so any chance to do so is great. And these certainly didn't disappoint. This is The Valyrio collection*, and it consists of three holo shades and three shimmery/glittery shades. Don't let the word 'shimmer' put you off because these really are stunning shades. The Valyrio collection was designed by my lovely friend Christine of Serenity Nails, based around Game of Thrones. I know this is shocking, but I've actually never seen Game of Thrones, so I don't understand the names. However, the names are actually based on the language of Valyria so I don't believe they're direct references to characters. I've also created some nail art with a few of the shades so keep an eye out for that over the coming weeks

Dracarys* is a holographic red/pink shade with deep red glitter pieces inside, this was 2 easy coats without topcoat. Above is under a lamp, and below is natural light. As you can see the difference is strong, but in each light the polish is unique and just as gorgeous.

Kirimvos* (above in lamp light and below in natural light) is a lovely turquoise/light emerald shade made up of holographic glitter and larger green flakes (clearer in the below picture). This was 2 easy coats, shown with topcoat but it was fine without.

Sesir Kipi* is a fine blue holographic with slighter larger blue flakes which aren't very visible. Shown above in lamp light and below in natural light. This was 2 easy coats with topcoat but was fine without

Daria Zaldrizoti* is a fiery pink shimmer. There's an orange undertone to this that my pictures unfortunately don't capture, although you can see it in the bottle slightly in the picture above. This was 2 easy shown, shown with topcoat but would be fine without

Lilagon* is a deep green shade, with lots of depth to it. This was 2 easy coats, shown without topcoat. It's an odd colour this, I can appreciate its beauty but I can't imagine wearing it by itself without any nail art, I do think it's gorgeous though

And finally is Kastamiro Damior* which is a deep blue beetle-shimmer glitter. This is such a beautiful shade, I'm so glad my camera managed to capture its depth. This was 3 coats, I could probably have got away with 2 but there was a VNL, shown without topcoat

You can buy these polishes here on the Celestial Cosmetics website for $12AUD (£6).

What do you think? Do you think you'll be picking up any of these? Or do you already own some? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Alice, you captured Lilagon perfectly and in my opinion it looks so good on you :) I understand not being comfortable wearing such shades tho, I am the same, almost never reach for the greens. Thank you for sharing your beautiful swatches :)
