Gelish Royal Temptations - Review and Swatches

Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed the super long Easter Weekend, I certainly made the most of it with a spring clean but also a few days of chilling out. I feel much more refreshed!

Today I've got the gorgeous Gelish - Royal Temptations Collection* to show you. I've made no secrets of my love of Gelish, and this collection is no different. I really feel that the formula of the new bottles is so much better than the old, so much so that I've pretty much stopped using all my old bottles! Read on for my thoughts on the collection.

Ruffle Those Feathers* is a beautiful turquoise blue, although it's described by Gelish as 'teal blue', so whichever description you prefer! This was 3 coats, but you could probably get away with two with nail art, it was just ever so slightly patchy. A great colour for summer.

All My Heart Desires* is a bright, almost neon, pink. Such a great fun summer colour, I think this will definitely be making an appearance on my toes at some point this summer! This was two easy coats.

My Other Heart Is A Tiara* is described as a 'sea foam metallic' and I think that fits pretty perfectly. This was 3 coats but you could definitely get away with two. As with most metallics it was quite streaky in application, but that's to be expected. I really didn't think I would like this as much as I did, but it's a really pretty shade, perhaps I'm a metallic convert.

All The Queens Bling* is an absolutely stunning lilac shimmer. This is my favourite colour from the collection, I mean... look at it! This was two coats, and they dried kind of matte without topcoat - which obviously you need to use with gel but I thought it was worth a mention!

Beauty Marks The Spot* is a lovely corally peach shade, another great one for summer. This was three coats, but again you could probably do two with nail art.

Curls and Pearls* is a close contender for my favourite of the collection, mainly because I love any nude/off white shade and this is gorgeous! This was three coats, and once again you could probably get away with two with nail art.

And finally is the glitter topper of the collection: Over-the-Top Pop*. I did find with this that you really have to fish for the bigger pieces, and the bows don't lay flat on the nail. However, I actually really liked how it looked without the big pieces, and I personally probably won't fish around for them and I'll leave it with the smaller pieces for a little added sparkle.

What do you think? Have you tried any of the collection yet?
