Do It With Feeling

I've recently been watching The Bold Type on Amazon Prime**, and so when the opportunity arose to work with Amazon for an Instagram post on these nails, I couldn't resist doing one of my favourite quotes from the show. 'If you can't do it with feeling, don't'. Obviously the full quote didn't fit but I love the phrase 'do it with feeling' on it's own too.

If you've been following me for a while (and by a while I mean... more than 5 years) you might remember that I used to do some of my designs with ink pens rather than brushes or tools. Well today I'm bringing back the old school, because the quote is written with my favourite Muji pens, just like in the old days. I haven't used anything except a Muji pen to write with since I was about 14, so it makes sense that I'd use them for my nails too!

Hello! for Avon

Hey everyone! (Or hello! if I want to match the nails). Today I've got a really simple design to show you that I've always uhm'd and ah'd about posting.  I created these for Avon in November last year and despite the fact they're neat and colourful, I've never been quite sure of them. But the more I've scrolled past them the more I've realised it's time to post them. I also dont really post that many designs with text so I thought it would make a nice change.

I Love You Beary Much

Hey everyone! When I did my valentines 'I Whaley Love You' pun nails I said that I was annoyed that I hadn't had the time to create more punny nails. I had a few comments saying that I should just do them throughout the year anyway, so that's what I've decided to do. I love a good pun and cute puns are even better. Today's pun is 'I love you beary much'. I wasn't really sure where I was going with these, I just added things to them until I liked them, such as the hearts, and I actually really liked how they turned out. I used Barry M - Fondant* as the base as I was reviewing it and decided that it would look good with nail art (full review coming in the next week), and I think it works really well. I also actually did this on both nails which is a total rarity for me, but I unfortunately didn't take any pictures so you'll just have to take my word for it. I ended up wearing these for well over a week without any chips, but I got a bit bored of looking at them in the end!

Models Own Nail Art Tool Kit Review + Love Letters Nail Art

Hey everyone! I've been having a few days break from blogging because I feel like most of the stuff I have waiting to show you is pretty low-par, and I just haven't been able to bring myself to edit something that I'm not particularly proud of. I've created a few nail art designs recently that I'm insanely proud of, but they wont be going up for a few weeks as they're work for companies etc. so I only have a few posts I did weeks ago before my exams. Once exams are over next week I hope to create lots and lots of awesome nail art, so I'm sorry if the designs I post this week aren't 100% great, sometimes ideas dont work out as great in my head as they do on my nails.

BUT I do like these nails, I'd completely forgotten I had them hiding away in my Models Own folder as I thought I'd posted everything during review week and I stumbled across them earlier and knew I finally had something worth posting. I was sent the Models Own Nail Art Tool Kit* a few weeks ago and I've actually been using it quite a lot. I used the flat brush for clean up on all my nail art. It came through my postbox at the perfect time in fact because my old one had fallen to pieces only the day before and I was all ready to purchase a new one.

For these nails I used the Detailing Brush, the Striping Brush and the Dotting Tool, along with the Flat Brush for clean up, all of which I was really impressed with. I did cut the detailing brush down a bit, as I always tend to, but otherwise I left them as they were.
