Essie Winter 2017 Collection review + swatches

I feel like an idiot, this post has been sat fully written in my drafts for more than two months, and I was under the impression that I'd posted it! It's a bit delayed, but it's such a beautiful collection I wanted to post it anyway. So here's my review of the Essie Winter 2017 Collection*.

New Year, New Hue* is a beautiful burgundy, this was 2 easy-to-apply coats, shown without topcoat.

Suit & Tied* reminds me of gingerbread, and I love that it's a bit of a different shade to the usual winter collections. This was 2 coats with careful application as it has a thicker consistency, but it's not unmanageable. Shown without topcoat.

Social-Lights* is a gorgeous grey shade with a golden shimmer. I absolutely love this, it's got so much depth to it. This was two coats, again without topcoat. Unfortunately I received a bottle that had a broken brush, so I found this quite difficult to apply, but I'm sure that with a normal brush it would apply great.

On Your Mistletoes* is a deep navy shade. I am SO glad to have this in my collection, for some reason I seem to have an absence of navy shades and every time I want to do a navy design I find myself searching high and low for the perfect shade... here it is! This was 2 easy coats, shown without topcoat.

Be Cherry!* is a fun bright red. I love that this is included in the collection to give it a pop of colour, it reminds me of mistletoe berries... or Santa's hat perhaps? This has a jelly-like consistency, and this was two easy coats without topcoat.

Last but not least is Ring In The Bling*, this burgundy shimmer is such a classic winter shade but it never grows old. Perfect for a bit of bling in the winter months. Two easy coats, again shown without topcoat.

What do you think? Have you tried the collection?
