Hey everyone! Today is the second instalment in my Barry M posts that I'll be doing for the rest of this week, you can see my palm tree nails from yesterday using their matte topcoat here. I absolutely love the new Summer Matte collection from Barry M, they're great for nail art and you've already seen 2 examples in my floral fox nails and my palm tree nails from yesterday. They're also really good quality and opacity. They're not as matte as their autumn collection, but I don't really mind as I'll mainly be using them for nail art, or I can put the matte topcoat over the top if I really need them to be hugely matte.
Cancun* is a gorgeous teal colour, this was 2 coats. The first coat was more matte than the second and if you can get away with 1 you may prefer to do that.
Next is Copacabana*, which you may recognise from my floral fox nails, this was 2 easy coats. Again, the first coat was more matte than the second. You might be able to get away with 1 if you really tried
Malibu* was 2 easy coats. I found this to remind me more of a leather effect than matte actually, but I like how it looks.
Miami* was 2 easy coats again. I used these in my palm tree nails, just like Malibu* (above)
Rhossili* was 2 easy coats, but I feel I could have easily got away with just the one
And finally is Waikiki*, a gorgeous lime green colour, you might recognise it from my Wimbledon nails. This was 2 easy coats.
I really love this collection. I'd have loved it if there was a yellow but apart from that it's great. I don't really mind that it's less matte than the last collection, I find it actually looks a bit better! These retail at £3.99 each and you can find them in Boots and Superdrug now, and on Barry M's website.
