Nailvengers Assemble: Easter

Hey everyone! Today is the last day of the month, and that of course means a new Nailvengers Assemble post. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, you can see my original post here. Don't forget to keep up to date with what we're doing on our Facebook page. This month's theme is Easter, and whilst it's quite early, by the last day of April it will be too late so we decided it was better to do it now instead. Easter for me is all about cute little chicks and decorated easter eggs, so I decided to combine the two!

I used a base of Graffiti Nails - Ice White, with a coat of Graffiti Nails - Fairy Wing. Once that was dry I used a striping brush with W7 - Sheer Blue and Deborah Lippmann - Spring Buds on my ring and index finger. Then I used a nail art brush to draw a yellow circle using Graffiti Nails - Mellow, and to draw on the beak using Rimmel London - Oragasm, from the Rita Ora collection. Then I used a thinner brush to outline the bird using black acrylic paint, and to do the eye with white and black acrylic paint. Then I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite to seal everything in.

Spring Florals with Avon

Hey everyone! This week I've started a brand new collaboration with a brand you may have heard of: Avon. I'm going to be producing a couple of pieces of nail art and a couple of video tutorials per month for them, so stay tuned for that! My first design for them was this simple spring floral look, all I needed were a few Avon colours, a dotting tool, and some topcoat, and it was done!

Ciate x Vente-Privee Sale - Nail Art and Info

Hey everyone! I have an exciting post to show you this morning, as there is a huge sale of Ciate products over at Vente-Privee (here) and I'm going to be showing you a look you can create and the possible products you can buy. Vente-Privee is the biggest flash sale shopping club in Europe with over 20million members and more than 2,500 designer brands in cosmetics, fashion, accessories, home fashion, etc, so it's definitely something you should have a look at! The sale started this morning at 6am and it's a limited time flash sale, where members can shop Ciate products for fantastic prices (with an average of 65% off RRP). It's a very limited sale so be quick to get in there whilst you can. It is for members only but it's super easy to become a member, just click here and fill in the details and you're done! I know I just sound like a walking advertisement but we all know that Ciate products are great, but a bit pricy, so this is a great opportunity to get your hands on some you might have wanted for a while! I'll put the full post after the jump otherwise it might get a bit picture heavy.

Gelly Gradient Swirls

Hey everyone! It's been a few days since I posted anything because I had a really hectic weekend, but I have tonnes of great nail art (if I say so myself) and reviews coming for you in the next couple of weeks, so that should make up for it! Today is the one of promised designs from my Barry M Gelly Hi Shine review. I have no idea where this design came from, I didn't have any particular inspiration, I felt like doing a gradient, wasn't very proud of the gradient, so I added some swirls to blend it together a bit more and ended up loving how it turned out. I even kept it on for more than a day! Swirls are basically my go-to design when I want to just mess around a bit, most people tend to have leopard print as their go-to but I've just never really go in to it, and I think swirls are just as effective and simple.

The base for these nails was Barry M - Rose Hip, and I used Graffiti Nails - Butterfly Pink and Graffiti Nails - Pistachio for the gradient, then I added acrylic paint with a small nail art brush and topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite

Barry M Spring 2014 Gelly Hi Shine Collection Swatches and Review

Hey everyone! Today I have the gorgeous new Barry M spring Gelly Hi Shine collection to show you, these have been out for a few weeks but I finally got my hands on them and they're all gorgeous. You'll see some nail art in the next week or so using them because I just couldn't resist. There are 3 polishes in this collection so it's slightly smaller than their usual releases, but that just means that it's easier for you to afford the whole collection! You all know my love of pastels, especially blues, so it will be no surprise to you that I adore this collection, and you'll definitely be seeing these a lot more on my blog. More pictures and information after the jump!

Tutorial Tuesday: Prada Floral Colour Blocking for Divine Caroline

Hey everyone! Today I have another Divine Caroline tutorial for you, which I based around the recent Prada Spring/Summer 2014 Resort collection. I noticed on the runway that most of the dresses/outfits combined floral print and colour blocks and I wanted to translate that on to my nails. You can see the dress I was inspired by and the tutorial itself here on Divine Caroline.

Deborah Lippmann 'Spring Buds' Review and Nail Art

Hey everyone! Today I have another Deborah Lippmann review for you (you can see my previous ones here and here), this time it's Spring Buds* from the recent 2014 Spring Reveries collection, and I decided to create a bit of simple nail art to go alongside it. I didn't have much time to do these, or take pictures, but I still really like how they came out. I'll post more information and pictures after the jump

Tutorial Tuesday: Pastel Geometric For Clothes Show Live

Hey everyone! You might notice that it's not actually tuesday, so I shouldn't really be calling this tutorial tuesday, but I completely forgot to post this last night and I don't want you to go without! Today's (or yesterday's) tutorial is another that I created for Clothes Show Live, which means that it's a video rather than a pictorial but hopefully you don't mind. For the design I was inspired by this cardigan from Topshop. You can see the colours I used in the video but if you're unsure just ask and I'll let you know!

Super Exciting News: Graffiti Nails

Hey everyone! I have some amazingly exciting news to share with you today, which I've been keeping in for ages and I'm so ecstatic to finally tell you about. Basically, I'm involved in the starting up of a new nail art company!!!! The new company is called Graffiti Nails, and you can find the website here. To start off with we will be launching 13 brand new colours, and a base coat and top coat, all of which I'll be reviewing for you over the next couple of weeks, and which you can see the pictures of below. We will be launching all the stock on friday, but you can pre-order NOW.

You can find us on Facebook here, or Twitter here.

The polishes will retail at £3.99 including VAT. We will be starting off online, with plans to move elsewhere soon. That does mean that you do have to pay for postage, BUT if you order 3 polishes then the ‘Express’ delivery is FREE. Express service is 1-3 days, but we can deliver 3 polishes Next Day for only £2.95.

We will also (brace yourself for some more amazing news) be releasing sets of limited edition nail wraps based on my designs. These wont be available for another few weeks, but when they are available I'll let you know!

For now we are UK-only, but we will hopefully be launching internationally eventually.

I'd love to know what you think, I'm so so excited to finally be telling you, let me know in the comments! And don't forget you can pre-order now here.

Models Own Speckled Egg Collection Spring 2014 Swatches

Hey everyone! I'm so excited for today's post, because I was lucky enough to get my hands on the gorgeous new Speckled Egg collection from Models Own, created for spring 2014. These polishes are absolutely gorgeous, and remind me of my favourite chocolate in the world: mini eggs! Which I was lucky enough to receive a packet of with this collection, but you won't see them in the pictures because I ate them... Oops! These are definitely suited to Easter, and they're also all amazingly opaque, as you'll see below.

Tutorial Tuesday: Pink Geometric Leopard Print for Divine Caroline

Hey everyone! I'm back with another Tutorial Tuesday I did for Divine Caroline, which you can see here. As per usual it will only be a short post as you can find all the information you'll need on my post there. Today's tutorial is for these spring leopard print nails, I'm not a massive fan of leopard print normally but I think miniaturising it makes it look much better.

Don't forget to check out the steps for this design here.

Deborah Lippmann Swatches - Part 2

Hey everyone! Today I'm back with another few Deborah Lippmann polishes to show you. Again, like with my last review, these are a mix of polishes from different collections but hopefully you'll still enjoy them! However, unlike last time, these are more a collection of jelly-like polishes rather than cremes, but I think it's nice to try a contrast of polishes from their range, especially as I hadn't experienced their polishes before my last review, and I'm still super impressed by their quality and wear.
