Guest Post from Very Emily: No Tools Nail Art

Hey everyone! Another guest post for you all today whilst I'm away, this time from my wonderful friend Emily, you've seen her nails here before and she was kind enough to agree to do another blogpost for me, and I absolutely love the design she's done! Anyway, I'll leave it up to Emily to tell you more about the design:

Hi everyone! I'm Emily from the blog Very Emily and I'm so honoured to be guest posting on One Nail To Rule Them All today. I absolutely adore Alice's work, I always look forward to seeing what she creates. I just love her nails and her amazing style. Her work is always flawless!

For my guest post I came up with a simple design using only three colours that requires no tools! On my pointer and pinkie I used a black polish, you can use any black you have lying around, I used Jessica Black Lustre. On my ring finger I layered a white polish, Essence Hattrick in this case, as a base.

Then I layered a blue colour on my middle finger, here I used Rimmel Blindfold Me Blue from the Rita Ora collection. On my ring finger I used a stippling technique similar to the dry brush method. You wipe off most of the polish from your brush and just randomly dab it on your nail to create a fun abstract print. I really love how simple it is!

Then I added some bling on all nails except for my ring finger! I used gold steel balls and placed them on one by one in a triangular line-up. I purchased mine from Born Pretty Store.

Feel free to stop by my blog over at Very Emily to see more nail art, swatches and reviews. Huge thanks to Alice for having me and I really hope you like these!

Thankyou so much to Emily for doing this for me, I absolutely love that ring finger!

Guest Post from The Nailasaurus: Let Me See Your Peacock!

Hey everyone! Whilst I'm off sunning myself in Italy, The Nailasaurus has kindly offered to do a guest post for me. I'm absolutely honoured to have her on my blog. Whilst Sammy is now a great friend of mine, she was my original inspiration for starting my blog (not sure if she knows that actually but it's true!) and so it's a bit like having blogging royalty posting on my blog! I'll let her explain the nails to you:

There’s no doubt that Peacocks are one of nature’s most majestic and beautiful creatures. Those iridescent feathers and that magnificent plume are the perfect inspiration for some nail art. Thanks to a stamping plate, I’ve got the pattern down but found it a bit tricky to mimic the peacock colouring on my nails this time around. I think it’ll take a couple more tries until I’ve got it nailed.

For this nail art, I used piCture pOlish Swagger as my base colour and stamped on the feather design using W7 Purple Paradise. Purple Passion is a metallic purple shade but stamped over Swagger, it looks bright indigo – I like it!

The stamping design is from MoYou Stamping Plate Tropical 06.

On my ring and pinky fingers, I topped Swagger with Essence Only Purple Matters.

It’s all topped off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl.

Thankyou again Sammy! I absolutely love these nails and I hope you all do too!

Dotticure Guest Post from Lucy's Stash!

Hey everyone! I've been revising all day so it's nice to have a break for a bit, although if you follow me on Instagram you'll know that I may have got distracted from revision earlier and painted my nails, but unfortunately I don't have my lightbox at the moment so I can't take a proper picture! My last exam is tomorrow and I am so so excited to be free for 2 weeks, but until I can am properly finished, and until my lightbox returns on friday, the lovely Lucy from Lucy's Stash has kindly done a guest post for me, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do! I was lucky enough to share a hotel room with Lucy before/after the Cosmo blog awards and she's such a lovely person, and amazing at nail art, so I'm honoured to have her here today!

Hi everyone,

I’m so excited to be guest posting for Alice! Not only she is a freaking Cosmo Blog Award winner but I’ve also had a chance to hang out with her in person she is such a lovely person.

I have prepared a dotticure for you that I hope you’ll think is very intricate but to tell you the truth, it’s dead simple to do. Just start with two big dots on the opposite side of the nail and then create small dots around it in opposite colour. Then continue on both circles alternating the colours until they ‘meet’. Continue creating the dot circles in alternating colours until you fill the whole nail. Once you’re done let the design dry for few minutes and topcoat it.

Tutorial Tuesday: Tortoise Shell Nails by xameliax

Hey everyone! Today's tutorial tuesday is going to be slightly different because rather than a tutorial from me, I have an amazing guest post in the form of a video tutorial from my lovely friend Amelia, who runs xameliax. After mentioning to her that I was struggling due to exams she kindly said she would do a guest post for me, and the nails she has done are absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to see your recreations. So without further ado I'll pass you on to Amelia...

Hi Everyone! I'm Amelia the beauty and lifestyle blogger behind xameliax.com and I, like Alice and probably most of you reading this have a little obsession with nail polish! So when Alice asked if I'd like to guest post for her while she was beavering away revising for her exams (go you super clever girl) I took it as the perfect opportunity to do one of my favourite nail looks - Tortoise Shell!

This effect is so easy to re-create as you can see in my Youtube Tutorial! They took me less than an hour to do and i think they look amazing. With just three polishes and some cling film you can create this beautiful tortoise shell effect and with a few studs ontop it comes together to make this simple but stunning manicure!

::Polishes Used::
Duri Rejuvacote (Base Coat)
Barry M - Countess (Pointed Finger)
Born Pretty Store Small Square Studs
Seche Vite (Top Coat)

Why not give them a go yourself! Tweet us a picture of your tortoise shell nails @xameliax @onenailtorule and we'll retweet some of the best ones!

Happy Painting!

Guest post from Just Tis Ems

Hey everyone, happy april fools day (or easter monday) you may have noticed that I didn't manage to post my Then and Now post last night, but I shall do in the next couple of days and I really hope you like it. Also, yesterday was my blogiversary! I added an update to the post when I realised but stay tuned for a giveaway to celebrate, it wont be much but I hope you all enjoy it!

Anyway,  today I have a guest post from the lovely Emmie from Just Tis Ems who is a very dear friend of mine and I hope you love her nails as much as I do!

These nails were inspired by this dress I loved the print on it and at first I was going to copy the dress exactly but then I ended up changing it into a whole different print scene but tried to stick around with the colors.

The colours I used for this were Sinful Colors - Orange Cream, Pull Over, Winterberry. China Glaze - Sea Spray, Secret Peri-wink-le. CQ - Corduroy. Then I used a mixture of acrylic paints of brown and black to add the print part

Thanks so much Emmie, I hope you all like them! Let me know what you think in the comments,

Guest Post by Very Emily!

Hey everyone! I'm still in the midst of piles and piles of revision (literally) so my very lovely friend Emily, from Very Emily offered to step in and do a guest post for me. I've not known Emily long but she's become a very great friend to me and I'm honoured to have her beautiful work on my blog, read on to see what Emily has to say about her post!

First of all, thank you so much Alice for having me! I am so excited to share a guest post on One Nail To Rule Them All.  Alice has become a great friend to me over the past few months, but I've always been a huge admirer of her blog. She does such beautiful designs and her photos are simply beautiful!
For my guest post I decided to do some nail art with one of the polishes Alice was kind enough to give me for my birthday! She got me Barry M's Foil Effect polish in Gold which is just the most incredibly opaque gold. It's probably one of the best gold polishes I've tried! It's absolutely perfect for nail art.
I ended up painting a baroque print on my nails using Barry M Foil Effects in gold, over Barry M Dusty Mauve. I also used the gold Barry M as an accent nail.
I really love how this baroque print turned out! I've seen a few girls do really beautiful baroque print nails, but Candice a.k.a. MrCandiipants was my main inspiration for this design. Huge thanks again to Alice for asking me to create a guest post for her blog. I had such fun doing these and I really hope you like them!
