Review Week, Day 3: Sleek Nail Polish + Summer Releases

Hey everyone! I'm back, as promised, with the rest of review week. I'm going to make it a 7-day feature instead of my usual 5, to make up for the 2 days last week, so it will finish at the end of this week. I know reviews aren't what all of you come here for, but hopefully you still enjoy looking at a few new products!

First up in this week's take on review week is a few of Sleek's new releases, including their brand new gel nail polishes! I wasn't even aware that Sleek did nail polish until I got an email about it, so I was excited to try them out and see what they're like. I also wanted to see if they lived up to Sleek's eyeshadows, and they definitely do! There are 8 shades available in the gel range, and I have 3 of them to show you today: Trance*, Viper* and Sugar Coat Me*. They also have a range of 12 regular nail polishes.

Sugar Coat Me* is a gorgeous baby pink. This was 3 very thin coats. I think this would probably be good for jelly sandwiches and it's quite opaque, but I love it on its own as well. Shown without topcoat

Trance* is a gorgeous grey/navy/black colour (I can't make up my mind). This was 2 easy coats but I could probably have got away with just one. Dried fast, and shiny, and this is without topcoat

And finally is Viper*, this was also 2 easy coats. It is a crelly, like a lot of reds, but it's definitely leaning more toward a creme. I was expecting it to be a shade darker from the bottle but I really love it. Shown without topcoat

I also received a few other recent releases from Sleek, including a few of their Gloss Me lip-glosses*, and the Rio Rio Limited Edition eyeshadow palette*, both of which I love. I'm not very practiced at taking pictures of my face so I didn't want to show myself up, but the lip-glosses are all opaque, and I really love how they almost correspond with the nail polishes I have. The Rio palette is amazing. You can see from the picture below how bright and interesting the colours are. There a few colours in there that I'd use for a night out, and the rest will be amazing for fancy dress, but they're all opaque, as is usually the case with Sleek eyeshadows.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I really love Sleek products, however I have never ventured into the nail polish side and like you, I wasn't even sure if they did nail varnish. I love the eyeshadows, so if those are anything to go by, I'll definitely need to pick up some of the polishes! :)
