OPI Hello Kitty Collection Review and Swatches

Hey everyone! I'm so happy to have made it to the end of my week of reviews, whilst I've loved showcasing so many polishes to you this week, it's been quite tiring to stay up every night editing and posting. Especially when I'm only on my second week in my new job so I'm mentally drained (although I love it so it's worth it). I'm also really proud of myself for managing to post every day, it's been a long time since I successfully did that so it's good to know I still have it in me.

Anyway, the final review for this week is the OPI Hello Kitty Collection*. I know this has been out for a while now but I still wanted to show you my swatches because it's such a gorgeous and cute collection (especially those bottle caps!). OPI really haven't disappointed with recent collections, and this is no exception. I received the pinks half of the collection, although there are 12 in total, as the other half are only being released for salons in the UK so were not released to bloggers (I may have shed a tear when I realised I wasn't getting the vibrant yellow that is My Twin Mimmy). But, this half of the collection are flawless, and are definitely worth purchasing if you haven't already (you can never have enough pinks/polish anyway).

Super Cute In Pink* is a pink/leaning toward purple crelly. I was expecting this to be a creme when I saw it in the bottle but it definitely has more of a jelly like consistency (you can kind of tell in the bottle shot below if you look carefully at the fill line on the bottle). Although this only made it brighter and shinier than I expected, so no complaints from me! This was 2 easy coats without topcoat

Look At My Bow* is a gorgeous barbie pink. This was three thin coats but I definitely could have got away with two I was just being cautious, shown without topcoat

Spoken From The Heart* is a magenta-leaning red but unfortunately my camera was playing up during this swatch so not only is the top photo inaccurate in colour, it's also slightly blurry. However the bottle shot below is much more accurate. This was two coats and was also more of a crelly than a creme which I wasn't expecting

Let's Be Friends* is my absolute favourite of the collection, its a very light pink shade but it's I love how subtle the pink is. This was 2 coats, although there are three on my ring finger and pinkie because I smudged them before I got any pictures! Shown without topcoat

5 Apples Tall* is a lovely bright red. This was 2 very easy coats without topcoat as it dried fast and shiny

And finally is Charmmy & Sugar*, an iridescent glitter with larger glitter pieces within. I wasn't completely sold on this polish when I saw it in the bottle, but it's definitely a lot prettier on the nail (although it's still not my favourite). Here I've shown two coats on its own, and below is one coat over Spoken From The Heart*. It was easy to apply and it dried very quick, and almost matte-like. Shown without topcoat

What do you think? Which are your favourites from the collection?
Let me know in the comments!

  1. Thanks for the review and swatches! The bottle caps really are sooo cute. Love them. My favourite is probably "5 Apples Tall" (Self confessed red nail polish lover here!) but I was really surprised at how lovely "Let's Be Friends" looks when on the nail... it looks so elegant. Oh and I'm a first time commenter on your blog, but have been reading it for awhile :)

  2. I am wearing 'Spoken from the heart' just now and I also bought 'Charmmy and Sugar'. The lids are so cute. The whole collection is available at Sally's but I am not too sure whether you can get them without a trade card!
