Negative Space Ferns

Hey everyone! If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that I was in Ibiza a couple of weeks ago. I went for a long weekend with my boyfriend and another couple, and of course I had to do some nails to mark the occasion. I had a flick through Pinterest the night before I went (leaving it to the last minute as always) and I came across these nails and knew instantly they'd be perfect for Ibiza. I decided to recreate them with a light pink background, and a simpler version of the ferns because I was a bit pushed for time!

More details on how I created these below, and tomorrow I'll be doing a post about my 'nails on tour', if you haven't seen these posts before you can catch up here

Essie Glitter Leaves

Hi All! Hope you're having a good December so far. I'm trying to get into the Christmas spirit, I'm feeling a lot better than I have been so I've even been able to sing along to a few Christmas songs. It's good to know that I haven't turned into a complete Scrooge! But whilst I might be getting into the Christmas spirit, it's still Autumn on my nails, with the gorgeous Essie Winter 2016 collection*. These were just a quick design I did to try and get myself back into the swing of things but I ended up wearing them for nearly 2 weeks, which wasn't exactly the plan! But it's a testament to how long-lasting these polishes are.

Outlined Flowers for Barry M

Hey everyone! I've had the busiest weekend ever and a long monday so this is probably going to be a short post, but I didn't want to not post for a full week so I thought you'd catch you up. I moved house! Or rather me and my boyfriend did. We've got our first house together, which is exciting but I'm so sick of the sight of flatpack furniture. We both lived with our parents previously so we had no furniture whatsoever and everything has been built from scratch this weekend. Whilst most of it is built we're completely living out of bags right now.

These nails are some that I created for Barry M using their nail art pens and colours. I have so many designs and reviews to show you but nothing is edited and I definitely don't have time to sort them right now, but once I do I'll try and post more regularly. I also got some exciting news today that I've been shortlisted for Best UK Nail Blog in the Scratch Stars Awards 2016 which I'm very proud of! I'll make sure that I'm worthy of the title once I have unpacked and I have time to sit and edit.

French Studded Leaves Manicure for Divine Caroline

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend, I spent mine sorting the last stuff for the house, we move on Friday so not long to go now. I'm so excited to have a new desk and to get it all looking perfect. I've got a whole house worth of furniture to build but all I want to get sorted is my desk! I've splurged on a new set of Alex drawers from Ikea because I don't really like my Helmer, so I'm excited to see how they work out. Today's nails are this sweet french manicure design with leaves. It's really simple to create and I've done a tutorial for Divine Caroline which you can see here

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Pastel Frogs (aka a slight fail)

Hey everyone! Today I'm showing you what turned out to be a bit of a failure, which was frustrating because I put quite a bit of effort into these. These were inspired by a t-shirt my mum's goddaughter was wearing over christmas (picture below), but they didn't turn out as I hoped. You may or may not be able to make out (it's more obvious on my pointer finger) that I actually drew the lilypads in light blue. I stupidly chose to use a grey base rather than white and the colours just blended together once I added topcoat. They were actually quite different before which is why I continued with the design! I was however really happy with the frogs which is why I still wanted to show you the design, especially the one on my ring finger.

Green Autumn Leaves

Hey everyone! Today has felt more like autumn than any other day so far, I woke up to the loud noise of the wind and the entrance to work was littered with leaves. So it felt like the perfect time to post these nails, which I'm also currently wearing. I feel like I've jinxed it and made it all the more autumnal by wearing them! Luckily I've got a nice new coat to keep me warm, but it's always nice to get home at the end of the day and get warm in bed whilst you can hear the wind outside.

Barry M Autumn Glitter Leaves

Hey everyone! It's been so long since I created these nails that I'd completely forgotten I did them. I did them last Autumn, but Autumn had finished by the time I got around to thinking about posting them and it was too late. So instead I thought I'd save them for this year, and luckily I remembered before it was too late this year. I created these for Barry M using their Autumn 2014 Gelly collection, and a full tutorial is after the jump.

Lilac Stamping

Hey everyone! I have another try from when I decided maybe I could stamp after all to show you today, and then I tried again and realised I couldn't and knocked my confidence once again. These were from the middle point in between the two. I'm sure it will be another two years before I give it a go again (I hope not though), unless a magical stamping fairy comes along and helps me out. Today's nails are just a really simple design that I wanted to try whilst I still had the confidence. Whilst they didn't turn out perfect, I was still pretty happy with them and I wore these for a whole week - so they can't have been that bad!

July Nailbox Review

Hey everyone! Today I have a review of the July Nailbox* to show you. Unfortunately I received it only a couple of days before they shipped for the month so it's no longer available, but you can subscribe to receive August's Nailbox here. July's box has a tropical theme and it contained: OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazilian, Barry M Need For Speed, China Glaze White On White, Elegant Touch Cuticle Eliminator, MoYou London Tropical Plate 12, and the MoYou London Rectangular stamp and scraper which came in a neat little pouch. There was a great selection of colours and plenty of opportunities for nail art. You might know that I don't actually tend to do stamping as I usually miserably fail at it. In fact I've never posted any stamping nail art on my blog I don't think. However, this stamper was much much easier to use (it's a lot stickier than usual) and somehow I actually managed to create something that could be passed for stamping and is worthy of putting on my blog! So I present to you... my first official stamping manicure!

If you don't know what Nailbox is, they're a monthly subscription service based in the UK. Each box contains a section of nail polishes and nail products, and they're always from top end brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Barry M etc. You can subscribe on a monthly basis, or on a 6 or 12 month basis. To find out more about the plans check out their subscription page here

Tutorial: Floral Leaves for Barry M

Hey everyone! I'm so excited for the weekend, even though I'm working both days I'm just glad this week (and therefore my essay) is over. Anyway, it's been a couple of weeks since I posted a tutorial so I thought it was about time. This is another of the tutorials I created for Barry M a few weeks ago, I'm in the process of creating some more at the moment, I should actually be doing that right now really! This one is meant to be a floral design but I just winged it and I'm not really sure where it ended up, but I do quite like it. The steps on how to create these are after the jump
