Monthly Favourites: August

Hey everyone! Instead of posting day 2 of review week I'm going to post some nail art for Tutorial Tuesday after this, and review week will continue tomorrow instead, I've had too much to do today and I just haven't had a chance to edit the photos. But you get nail art AND monthly favourites, so it's a win win situation really.

So this monthly favourites is a couple of days late, but this month I really struggled to choose 5 products only, in fact I could only narrow it down to 6. I've bought, and received, so many amazing things this month that it was really difficult to make a decision! There's quite a range of products as well, not just beauty/nails, but sometimes a change is good! Sorry about the lighting in the photos, because I'm working so much at the moment I can only take pictures in the evening and all this stuff wouldn't fit in my lightbox! The products I chose for this month are:

Gelish - Trends - Lots of Dots gel polish*. I'm going to be doing a full post on gel manicures and polishes soon, but I wanted to give a quick mention to this gem. I've wanted this for over a year, because it's truly unique, and really fun. It couldn't have avoided being a favourite!

Kiko - Golden Game - Sculpting Bronzer*. I was sent this alongside some nail polishes to review, and I absolutely LOVE  it. I actually saw this in store whilst I was in Rome train station, but I was running a bit short on money and I walked away, and then really regretted it. So I was really happy to see it fall through my letterbox! The packaging is gorgeous, and the product itself is a new firm favourite. I've been in need of a new bronzer and this has definitely filled the gap.

Kiss Double Up Top Gel*. This picture went majorly weird so click the link to see how it should look! This gel topcoat is supposed to be used with Kiss's new nail wrap range (post coming soon), but I thought I'd test it out on top of regular nail polish instead. I used it over my Tracey Beaker nails and they lasted a week without chipping or wearing down before I removed them, so I'm definitely impressed.

Viktor and Rolf - Flowerbomb. I have wanted this perfume for YEARS. I think I was about 13 when I asked a family friend at a party what perfume she had on, and ever since then I've wanted it, but it's always been a bit too far out of my price range. But I recently got a gift voucher for perfume and instantly knew that I had to buy it, and it hasn't disappointed. I haven't had this many compliments on a perfume in years. I'll definitely be buying it again

Simple Kind to Skin Facial Wipes*. These are more of an old favourite than a monthly favourite, but as I got sent a few simple products this month I decided they were worth a mention. I have used these for years, and anytime I've ever tried anything else I've always come back to Simple. I have very sensitive skin, especially around my eyes, and every other makeup wipe I've tried has left me with dry skin around my eyes, so I'd definitely recommend these if you haven't tried them already!

And finally, Yankee Candle - Black Cherry. This, whether you can believe it or not, is my first ever Yankee Candle! I bought a sample size just to try out, but I definitely wish I'd bought a bigger one. I bought this whilst in italy and had it in my suitcase whilst I travelled home, and when I got back my suitcase smelt AMAZING. In fact, I've just bought the black cherry car freshener because I can't get enough of this scent. I think a new candle obsession might be coming...

What do you think? Have you tried, or do you want to try, any of these products? Let me know in the comments!
