Review Week, Day 4: OPI - Nordic Collection Autumn 2014 Swatches

Hey everyone! So after my positive words on Friday about managing to post every day, I missed last night, oops. In my defence, I was celebrating my 21st birthday (again) so I didn't really have the chance. Today's (or should I say yesterday's) post is half of the OPI Nordic collection. This collection is a few months old so you might have already seen swatches but I absolutely love them so I had to show you them anyway.

Do You Have Color In This Stock-holm* is a lovely blurple. This was 3 coats, with slightly difficult application. I'd actually describe this as more of a 'crelly' as it's very thin, rather than being a creme like the rest. It dried fast and shiny, shown here without topcoat

Can't Afjörd Not To* is a gorgeous peachy orange, and it's the colour I was looking forward to most out of the collection. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with application, I was expecting it to be a two coater, or three at most, but this needed 4 coats! However, the reason it was so difficult to apply was because of how quickly it dried, so that's a positive for those in a rush! Also dried really shiny, shown here without topcoat

My Dogsled is a Hybrid* is a dark mint polish. This was 2 very easy coats, and is one of my favourites from the collection. It dried fast and shiny, shown here without topcoat

My Voice is a Little Norse* is a beautiful holographic glitter. This was 3 coats, although you can still see the nail underneath, with one coat of Seche Vite topcoat as it did dry slightly matte.

Below is it over Skating on Thin Ice-land*, this was one easy coat, and as you can see it has a matte effect when dry (shown without topcoat)

Suzi Has a Suede Tooth* is a vibrant 'barbie' pink shade. This was 3 coats, although I could have probably got away with 2. It dried fast and shiny, shown without topcoat

Skating on Thin Ice-land* is a deep burgundy purple. This was 3 thin coats, although I could probably have got away with two. This is much darker than I expected it to be from the bottle but I really love it. Like the rest, it dried fast and shiny, shown without topcoat

Overall I'm super impressed with the collection, all of the polishes dried fast and shiny and they work really well as a collection. I did have problems with application on a couple of the polishes but otherwise they were all brilliant.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

  2. Isn't it "Suzi has a Swede tooth"?
(I could've sworn you swatch for Skating on thin Ice-land was Viking in a Vinter Vonderland when comparing to the OPI website.)
My dogsled is a hybrid is such a dreamy colour.
