Day 23: Inspired By A Movie

So as you can see, I really couldn't decide on a specific movie to do today so I decided to do a variety of childhood favourites (Shrek is still one of my favourite films now, I'm such a child at heart). These nails took forever but they are so worth it, I'm really proud of these. I wanted to push myself and I'm glad I did.

All the details were done in acrylic paint on a base of Barry M - Matt White. I had to adapt Wall-E to fit on my super short nails but I hope you like it anyway!

I love animations, but my boyfriend hates them (whut?) and I can't wait to see Brave. Although I dont think any recents have lived up to the brilliance of monsters inc/shrek/finding nemo. Which (if any) is your favourite animation?

  1. They're amazing! Did you just paint them on free hand or did you do the plastic bag painting thing? xx

    1. I painted them freehand with a tiny paintbrush, I only really do the plastic bag thing for my other hand but I didn't have the time or patience do it this time haha

  3. Awesome, as always. I love animations, too. And I totally agree with you. Some of the newer animated movies are kind of lame and the animation studios seem to get away with unnecessary sequels. It's a good trick for us fans :) Some of my current favorites are Despicable Me and Wall-E.

  4. Wow! These are crazy neat! I love animations! Among my favourites are:
    1. How to train your dragon
    2. Up
    3. Rio
    4. Tangled (one of the scene is just too gorgeous! and rapunzel is so cute when she was young!)
    5. All the classics. and I'd stop here, there's too many to list them all. hahahha!

Anyway, I've nominated you for Liebster Award!

i really want to see brave, but my husband doesn't really want to see it. sigh. haha...maybe it's too "princess" for him? he loves other kinds of animations that aren't "disney princesses" and i tried to tell him that this one isn't like cinderella or something :P silly boys.

    1. Thankyou so much! I love finding nemo, but my tiny stubs of nails wouldn't fit the film logo on! I'm one of those losers who was never a big disney princess fan but I was always into the animations and Brave is definitely not a disney princess film! I want to see it so much but everyone either has no money, or doesn't like animations (yes I'm talking about you Mr boyfriend) so I may just have to wait for the DVD :(
