Review Week, Day 3: Jacava London Swatches and Nail Art

Hey everyone! I'm ashamed to say I almost forgot to post today. It's 2am here and I was in bed with the lights off when I suddenly remembered I hadn't posted today's review, oops! Anyway, today's review is of a couple of Jacava London polishes: their Matte Topcoat*, and Vanilla Slice.* I was sent a few of their polishes to try out, so I'm sure you'll be seeing more around sooner or later, but these are the two that stood out to me straight away and I knew I had to try them. Once I'd mattified vanilla slice I also wanted to add a design to them, so I recycled my old 'Owl Be Yours' manicure slightly and added some polka dots and hearts. I've been wanting to redo owls for a while now so I'm really glad how these turned out

The base of these is Jacava London - Vanilla Slice*, then I used Jacava London - Jet Black* and Jacava London - Mont Blanc* for the polka dots, and acrylic paint for the hearts and owl, all finished off with a coat of Jacava London - Matte Top Coat*

Vanilla Slice* is a gorgeous creamy nude, a bit lighter than OPI - My Vampire is Buff and not quite as light as Barry M - Coconut. This was 2 easy coats without topcoat

Then I added a coat of the Matte Top Coat*. I absolutely love the application on this, some matte topcoats can drag quite a lot but this is super smooth and you'll see it again in some nail art coming up next week. It's also super quick drying

These polishes retail at £14.50, which for me is a little on the pricey side. Dont get me wrong, they're great polishes, but that's a lot of money when there are much cheaper alternatives on the market. If you can afford to splash that much, then I would definitely say it's worth it. But for me, that's the major drawback of these polishes

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
